Fin Min: Govt mulls extending extra payments to COVID doctors '21

MOSCOW, Oct 22 (PRIME) -- The Russian government is discussing prolonging the additional payments to the healthcare professionals fighting the COVID-19 to 2021, Finance Minister Anton Siluanov said on Thursday.

"The government is preparing the suggestions. We have raised the issue of whether there is money for the next year if we prolong the decision. We do have a reserve for the next year, our spending provide for this. The proposals will be backed by the reserve fund of the government," Siluanov said.

He said that the authorities decided to pay only for the time spent in the "red zone" and will calculate this time more rigorously.
